Athol Fire Department

From The Chief

To the residents, businesses, and visitors of the Town of Athol,
It is a privilege to serve as Fire Chief for the Athol Fire Department and to work alongside an exceptional group of fire officers, firefighters, paramedics, and EMT’s who answer the call for help every day. Our team’s dedication reflects the very best of what this community stands for—service, compassion, and resilience.

The Athol Fire Department is proud to provide professional fire, rescue, and advanced life support services to our town 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether we are responding to a structure fire, a medical emergency, or a community event, our goal is the same: to protect lives and property with skill, efficiency, and respect. We approach every incident as an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
We also believe that the best emergency is the one that never happens. Prevention, education, and preparedness are at the heart of our work. Our members are actively involved in public safety programs, fire prevention inspections, and outreach efforts that help residents stay informed and ready for emergencies of all kinds. These proactive measures strengthen the safety net that protects everyone in Athol.
As our community grows and the demands on emergency services increase, we continue to adapt—through training, innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Our department is investing in the next generation of first responders, expanding professional development opportunities, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and accountability. This commitment ensures that we can meet both today’s challenges and those that lie ahead.
To the residents of Athol: thank you for your ongoing trust and support. We are proud to serve you and grateful for the strong partnership that exists between our department and the community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, visit us, or engage with us at one of our community events. Together, we can continue to make Athol a safe and thriving place to live and work.
Stay Safe,
Jeffrey Parker
